With a team of 97 full-time employees and a $74 million budget, the District plays a critical role in ensuring public health, safety, and environmental protection.

Position Overview
The District is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources & Risk Manager to lead its HR and Risk Management Department. This key leadership position oversees a team including a Human Resources Analyst I, a Human Resources Technician II, and a Safety Manager.

The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR and risk functions, including:
  • Employee and labor relations

  • Recruitment and selection

  • Classification and compensation

  • Benefits administration

  • Leave management

  • Training and development

  • Performance management

  • Policy development

  • Workers' compensation and risk programs
The HR & Risk Manager will work closely with senior leadership, providing strategic direction on workforce planning, employee development, and labor negotiations while fostering a positive organizational culture.

    Qualifications

    Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public/Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

    • SHRM-SCP or PHR certification is desirable
    Experience:
    • 5-7 years of progressively responsible HR management experience (public agency experience preferred)

    • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role
    Compensation & Benefits
    • Competitive salary ($184,538 - $203,455 annually)
